Have you seen the Angry Birds video game on smartphones and browsers? It’s a cute little game where you shoot birds into the air, aiming to hit these evil green pigs. They make funny noises, things fall down, there are cute little explosions, and the whole thing is a fun and challenging game.
Since they’ve become so popular (did I mention how cute they are?) you can get all kinds of toys with the characters on them. These make great presents, from stocking stuffers to birthday gifts. My kids love the plush dolls, and we’ve been playing the Angry Birds game quite a bit too.
Angry Birds: Knock On Wood Game
The Angry Birds: Knock on Wood game is a real life version of the video game. You get three angry birds, some little green pigs, a launcher (which is kind of like a slingshot), and some wooden pieces to construct the levels out of. The game also comes with a bunch of “mission cards” with ideas for levels. You set up the wooden pieces and pigs in a certain way and then try to break them down by shooting the birds at them.
The game has easy to follow instructions that you can explain to kids above 5 or 6. The pieces are not so big that they’ll cause any damage, although you probably want to play in a bigger area so that it’s easy to find pieces when they fly all over the place.
All in all I’d say this game is lots of fun, and it’s a great alternative to your kids playing video games all day.
Angry Birds Plush Birds
These are stuffed animals that look just like the heroes (and villains) of the Angry Birds game. They’re super cute and make sounds from the game. They’re about 5 inches in diameter, just the right size to be thrown around a bit. Since the sound button is in the forehead, you can throw the thing against a wall or other object and it’ll make a sound.

This is a great toy for any kid above 12 months old. Small kids will love it because it’s so cute, and older children will have fun acting out the Angry Birds game with it.
If your kid (or significant other, or mother, or father, etc.) enjoys Angry Birds, they’ll probably love these cute little dolls. Plus, anybody who collects stuffed animals will want to have at least one of these angry birds.
There’s also a pig available, with similar sounds and size. I personally love this one because it makes me laugh when I’m grumpy. Ha!
