The Handtrux kids hand shovel is a cute little plastic arm that goes over your child’s arm. Their hand controls a shovel part that looks like the end of a backhoe loader or other construction equipment. It’s perfect for playing in the sand or soft dirt, and with it your child can really move some earth.

Boy, I really wish we had these when I was a kid! They’re tons of fun for building sand castles or just digging in the flower bed. (Careful with the flowers, though.) The toy is sturdy enough to withstand some abuse; it’s made of hard plastic and the shovel part moves easily even after it’s gotten a bit dirty.

The Handtrux backhoe is advertised for kids ages 5 and up. The arm is big enough to fit a larger arm, though, and an adult with a normal sized arm and hand can easily fit it. (You might find yourself having quite a bit of fun, possibly even making truck noises… be careful!)

Kids who like construction equipment and trucks will love this shovel since it allows them to make believe that they’re some kind of earth mover. If your child enjoys superheros, they might also like the idea of being some kind of super-digger. Needless to say, kids who enjoy playing in the dirt or sand will LOVE this toy.

The Handtrux kids shovel is a great item to foster creative outdoor play and make believe. It’s fun at the beach or at home, and it will suit ages 5 and up well.
